Gluttony could be able to eat and absorb anything, but at the same time is constantly hungry and needs to eat or they die. So, if I was going to make seven Deadly Sin based characters, I would give them normal powers and make the way they access them or their limitations sin-related. Most of the time, it isn't the powers that give flavor, but the method. If I had to associate pride with a nen category, it would most likely be conjuration. Maybe the ability to create any object, maybe the ability to create life. Artists are proud of the art they make, writers are proud of the stories and characters they write, inventors are proud of the mechanisms they come up with, scientists are proud of the theories they create.Īll this is to say, if I had to give pride a magical power, it would be something involving creation. In the real world, pride also often manifests when somebody has created something that they think is good. He created the world, he created life, he created sentience. According to the laws of physics, nothing can be destroyed and nothing can be created. If I had to associate god with one broad concept, I would say "creation". If we go by the greek definition of pride, hubris, it means thinking so highly of yourself to the point of believing you can defy god(s). So why is it a sin? I think it's important to note that it's called pride not ego, not arrogance, not confidence, not selfishness. Being proud of yourself makes you confident and that's attractive. But pride, I think, is generally considered a good thing. Even if you've never heard about the concept of the seven sins before, if you know the meanings of these words, you could easily figure out why they are sins. Lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, and envy - these words all have very obvious negative connotations. Personally, I always found pride to be the most interesting sin. But in the end I realized it was basically just 800 words of me saying nothing.

I was writing a wall of text that was basically just my stream of consciousness, ranting about the sins. So his tactic could be to constantly flame and roast his enemies to provoke them. Or he gets stronger the longer he is in a violent fight until he is basically invincible but if the enemy is a pacifist who won’t fight back he just stays weak and kinda just stands there. This can let him be „proud“ of his lackeys ^įor Violence I suppose the main thing is unnecessary violent punches and stuff so maybe he can store the energy of every punch taken and canalizes the energy into his own attacks?

Sin of Pride would equivalent to a narcistic overlord who maybe gets bigger and bigger the more enraged he is? Another idea could be that he is insanely full of energy but can not do anything with it himself but transfer this power to lackeys who gain insanely strong attributes from his blessings but get also vulnerable to being influenced by him. Sin of gluttony means devouring the lifeforce with each attack? Maybe memories too until the victim is just an empty husk of flesh? Maybe sinning sinning equivalents to giving up a human part of yourself so you can gain needed power to survive but in the process with every sin you take a risk to lose yourself more and more until you transform into a creature of madness? Sorcerer can utilize cursed energy in themselves to use powerful abilities and fight those monsters. Too much cursed energy will create curses which manifest as monsters in the world.

Here negative emotion manifests into a type of cursed energy which can just hang in the room or be part of a person. That reminds me of the anime jujutsu kaisen.
